The CalPLUS program can help you buy your first home even if you need a little help with a down payment or closing costs, thanks to CalHFA's MyHome program for down payment and the Zero Interest Program (ZIP) for closing costs. The 30-year mortgage includes enough mortgage assistance to help you become a homeowner now.
To put it simply, these two programs offer 3% down payment assistance for your down payment and another 3% to go towards closing costs.
This is an amazing way to purchase a home with only a few thousand dollars out of pocket, depending on your purchase price!
These programs are geared toward low to moderate income buyers.
